High five for 5 second sets!
 
Okay, so is it just me or are the boy tips on polyvore really really WEIRD? I mean, some are 1OO% accurate and fine, but most of them are super inaccurate and just don't sound right?
This is because THEY DON'T HAV EXPERIENCE WITH GUYS! They're probably 10 years old with their Hannah Montana playing in the background while they make sets.
 
Funny thing is minus the 10 year old thing, that's me
 
KIDDING! But anywho, I think I have enough experience with guys to say I can make SiMPLE tips about them. I hang out with guys, play basketball with them, and I know what they look for in a girl... And over time I realize what I want in a guy!
 
O1; ATTRACTIVENESS -
this is actually not that accurate for me. I see a cute guy and I'm like "OH MY GOSH HE'S MINE!" Then I get to know him and find he's not my type. I do like a cute guy, but this is totally optional. I look for more than a hot face.
 
O2 ; MANNERS -
Okay, so once I knew this guy who we were 'unofficial dating'. He was superrrrr good looking, he played multiple sports, and was a cool guy! But when we went to a graduation party I realized this guy had ZERO manners. He didn't care to say "please" or "thank you". He didn't let the children to first to make their food, or use any manners at all. And since that day I've only talked to him ONCE. This was 2 years ago. He didn't like using manners... and I need a classy guy (;
 
O3 ; ATHLETIC-NESS -
Another optional. I really like sporty guys. They are usually the most determined and I like that in a guy. I play basketball and swim so I don't want a guy who plays chess to be watching my games and not know what's going on, I mean... C'mon!
 
O4 ; A HUMBLE MANNERISM -
As I said, sporty guys are a definite go-for! My ex was super good at basketball, I'm talking winning best player awards at national camps good. To make him even better, he was H U M B L E. he knew he was good, he didn't rub it in or shove it down someone's throat. It made him ten times a better person, and it also made him seem more mature.
 
O5 ; A GOOD PERSONALITY -
I'm thinking of the guy I like as I type this out. Anyways, a good personality is a MUST! If he is super awkward and can't hold a conversation, I'm sorry but NO. The guy I like is social, funny, and caring. That's just his personality, and it's something I respect most about him because its all in all a perfect trait to have.
 
O6 ; NERDY -
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm not kidding. I want to date that nerd in the freaking corner because he's so cool. By nerdy I mean smart, that shy/awkwardness until you talk to him, and that cool-ness that's hidden behind a wall of weird. That's what I mean by nerdy.

O7 ; KNOWS HE'S MY SECOND CHOICE -
I want him to know he's my tempoaory boyfriend until Keaton Stromberg from Emblem3 comes to save me and we'll get married and live in a tree house castle.

hey its olivia (@purpleolivegirl) here! during the fall i play volleyball, and i had my tryouts yesterday and today, and i made the team! :) i was so so nervous, so i thought i'd give you guys some tips so you won't be, and you'll totally rock your tryout!
 
1.) FOOD FOR FUEL: my friend's brother plays, like, a billion sports, so he kept giving us weird energy bars and telling us what to eat. the food you eat should give you power to last through the practices. the main source of fuel is carbohydrates. you should eat things like fresh fruit, bagels, pasta, bread, yogurt, cereal, energy bars, or toast, and drink water and sports drinks.
 
2.) STAY HYDRATED: staying hydrated throughout the day will make you much more energetic. no one wants to play when they're dizzy and thirsty! also, stay away from carbonated drinks, iced tea, or anything with caffeine. it dehydrates you!
 
3.) WHAT YOU WEAR: make sure you look nice and focused. in other words, don't show up in your oldest tshirt and disgusting sneakers. if you're clean and put together, you will make a better impression. also, i always wear bright colors to make the coaches notice me. it may sound stupid, but it did work for me. :)
 
4.) PAY ATTENTION: coaches REALLY like girls who pay attention. when another coach/person is talking, make sure you are facing them and that you are listening closely. this makes you seem focused and attentive (duh) which is what a lot of people look for on a team. even during drills, watch your teammates. you can also learn from them.
 
5.) GET THERE EARLY: being punctual can make a very good impression. it shows that you want to be there, and gives you a couple extra minutes to get ready.
 
6.) WARM UP: before practice stretch and do some warm ups!
 
7.) STAY POSITIVE: if you miss a pass or mess up anything, don't worry! everyone makes mistakes, but if you have a positive attitude, you will feel better and the coaches will admire your good attitude!
 
8.) DO YOUR BEST! the whole time, do everything full out and to the best of your ability. even if you're tired, power through. you can rest once you've made it (even if only for a little) ! if you do your best, the coaches will see that you work hard and you're ready to be on the team :)

hello every, @karenlovesowls here again! I'm back with some DiYs to spice up your room! I consider all of these to be super simple and fun so let's get started! :)

O1. Dixie cup lights!
These are super simple to make and they're super cute!
 
what you'll need:
- dixie cups
- christmas lights
- scrapbook paper
- tape
- exacto knife
 
STEP #O1. take your scrap book paper and measure how long you need them to be to cover the cups. then tape them to the cups.
 
STEP #O2. take your lights and pick one light. then take one cup and turn it upside down. make a small slit in the middle of the cup. poke the light through.
 
STEP #O3. continue with the rest of the lights.
 
and you're done! :)
 
#O2. paint swatch wall!
this one requires some time to collect the paint swatches.
 
what you'll need:
- a wall (obviously)
- paint swatches
- double sided tape
 
STEP #O1. arrange your paint swatches in a rainbow, ombre, etc pattern on the floor. make sure you lay it out exactly how you want it on the wall.
 
STEP #O2. once you're done with that, you can start sticking them on the wall. don't worry if you make a mistake, you can take it off and redo it again since it's just tape! make sure when it's on the wall, there's the same amount of space between each swatch.
 
and you're done!
 
#O3. magnetic makeup board
this one is super helpful because you don't have to dig through a makeup bag!
 
what you'll need:
- white board
- picture frame
- magnets
- super glue
 
STEP #O1. take your white board and place it into your picture frame. make sure it fits right!
 
STEP #O2. take all your makeup and turn it over to the backside. drop a little bit of super glue to the middle. stick a magnet on there
 
STEP #O3. stick them on the board! for your brushes, you can put them in an old pencil holder :)
 
and you're done! :)
 
#O4. stenciled pillow
this one is super easy and you can customize it say whatever you want!
 
what you'll need:
- plain pillow
- a stencil
- a sharpie
 
STEP #O1. lay your pillow on a flat surface. take you stencil and trace the outline of the letters with your sharpie.
 
STEP #O2. when you're done, fill in the letters!
 
and you're done! super simple!
 
#O5. cord organizer
this one is super helpful! it keeps all your chargers in order :)
 
what you'll need:
- an old shoe box
- stuff to decorate the box (scrapbook paper/ribbons/rhinestones/etc)
- a power strip
- a pencil
- an exacto knife
 
STEP #O1. take your shoebox and decorate it as you wish. :)
 
STEP #O2. use your pencil and draw however many circles your need for your box.
 
STEP #O3. use your exacto knife and cut the holes out. make sure to make a hole for the power strip on the side!
 
STEP #O4. place your power strip inside and close the box! now whenever you need to charge something, plug it in inside the box and put the cord through one of the holes!
 
#O6. button letters
I think these are super cute but they can be time consuming!
 
what you'll need:
- canvas
- buttons of different sizes
- glue
- pencil
 
STEP #O1. take your canvas and pencil and lightly sketch how you want your letter
 
STEP #O2. start gluing your buttons down inside the sketch. allow time to dry.

Well you have one thing in common - your best guy friend! If your friend is kind of chill and funny, hopefully he won’t mind you joking about him with his best friend. Just casually be like, “Hey, I just caught Justin doing the funniest/dumbest thing the other day. Guess what he did?” Hopefully, you can get onto another topic related to that incident and share your interests. You develop more confidence and more boldness when you aren’t nervous about this guy is thinking so pretend he’s just another person you want to be friends with. That’s how I always start talking to the guys I like. You just need to focus on being more comfortable around him, so that he sees the real and beautiful you.

It all depends on you and him. Were you happy with him when you were younger? Is him moving the only reason why you broke up? If he hadn’t moved, would you still be together... and happy? I think it sounds incredibly sweet that he says he is still in love with you six years later. But people can change, most of us know that well. Just beaware that he might not be the exact same person he was six years ago. You might like him more, or like him less. I don’t think it’d hurt to give it a shot, you have nothing to loose, unless you are in a relationship already or you love someone else. In that case, just let him know that maybe it wasn’t meant to be, this time in your life, but who knows what will happen in the future? I believe everything happens for a reason, do you?
